About Ms. Fanning
Deanna Fanning is a dedicated educator with over seventeen years of experience. She holds a Masters Degree in Education. Additionally, she is certified to teach Gifted Students, Middle Grades Science, and Middle Grades Language Arts. Ms. Fanning is also a National Geographic Certified Educator. She served as a local representative on the governor's Teacher Advisory Board. Science, Utilizing science, technology and problem solving skills to build student knowledge is a commitment to which she continually seeks resources and experiences to generate excitement, innovative thought and creativity amongst her students. This summer, she gained additional credentials and knowledge about coastal science and marine science which have long been her passion.
As a Research teacher, she incorporates academically and socially relevant research and data throughout the school curriculum. Her students experience hands-on applications, problem based learning, and Twenty-first Century issues. She inspires students to fulfill future opportunities in the STEM career fields.
